Default Electrical problem out of this world!

Okay I have the weirdest electrical problem…1997 Integra GSR…It all started when I was replacing my antenna mast. I accidentally pushed down too much on the shaft where the mast goes into and caused the antenna motor to fall down into the car. So I had to go in through the truck and take off all of the panels so I could get access to the motor and screw the antenna motor back on. I turned the car on to make sure the Antenna motor was working when I remounted it and it did, so I proceeded to put all the panels back together. As I was leaving my house, I noticed that I couldn’t hear the motor trying to go up or down anymore. So of course I was pissed and I just figured I’d mess with it again the next day. But that night I noticed more problems: that my dome lights weren’t coming on when I opened my door, I couldn’t even turn them on manually. Also noticed that the outside lights of my corner lights weren’t coming on either. I checked all the bulbs and they were still all good. Also the first click of my windshield wipers doesn’t work, (the click that gives the delayed swipe). So my assumption is this: in the process of messing with the antenna motor, maybe I screwed up a wiring harness in the trunk. Any solutions to my problems would be highly appreciated. By the way, I checked all the fuses and they seem to be good.

did you check the fuses in under the hood? check fuse number 43, I'm not sure how it is labeled. From the front there is a row of little fuses in the back and there is one 7.5A fuse in front of those on the left, check that one

Does the 97 have the trunk light like the G3s do? Does that light work? Did the antenna motor crush/crimp those wires and short it out during the fall?

That's all I can think of right now.

I'm about to replace my antenna mast and I sure as hell don't want to knock the motor into the car. How gentle do I need to be when doing this?

Sounds like you removed a ground wire and did not attach it back. Check all the ground wires(should be black) in the trunk.

gsr2k - a 97 is a Gen 3 integra btw.

You're right...I should have said, "...like the 98+ do?"

I checked all the fuses, and they are still all good. Yes my integra has a trunk light, but it doesn't work either and i checked the bulb for it too and its still good. There is only one electrical plug for the antenna motor and it's plugged in. The problem has to be somewhere. Any other ideas?

bnuk replied to my electical problem, and told me to check fuse 43 well I went to check it, and i don't see where fuse 43 is. I read the integra manual and it showed me where fuse 43 was and it sounds like this is where my problem is (fuse 43: DLC, Ceilinglight,Power antenna motor (Hatchback),
Trunk/cargo area light), but when I went to look for it under the hood of my car the fuse layout was different I was just wondering if you could assist me.

if i'm not mistaken you're looking at the wrong fuse box, don't forget about the one above your clutch foot in the car(yes it's a pain in the ass to get a good look at with the seats in, but) that's where the fuse you are looking for should be located.

yes i know where the fuse box is under the drive side dashboard its not that hard to get to, but there is no fuse 43 under there. The fuse 43 is under the hood.
