Default Intermittant No Fuel

1989 Integra LS 5-Speed

Sometimes on warmer days my car will start for one second and then seems to be gasping for air (or gas) until it dies. I try again and again and I cannot keep it going. Then after 5 minutes I try again and it starts and keeps going. Once going, no problems.

What do you think? Main relay needs replacing?

Yes, I will work on it this weekend!!

The strange thing about my problem is that to solve it I must open the car hood - then it starts. That was why I was thinking that the relay was located under the hood as opposed to under the dash.
