Car overheats ALOT with A/C but air is still hot.
My A/C tends to not work when I'm driving above 50mph. Also, my car overheats quite a bit when its on. It's not leaking coolant as far as I can tell cause it was full when I tried to fill it at night when I bought the coolant and in the morning when the car was cool. I try to fill it like the bottle says to by doing it with the engine and A/C on.

Is the motor consuming coolant?
If so, I'd suspect a blown head gasket.
I think you asked about the AC a week ago.
Odds are you're low on refrigerant.
The lasting solution is to find the source of the leak and repair it.
The cheap interim solution is to buy a do-it-yourself recharge kit and continually refill the AC system.

My Bad
No no no, I'm sorry, I didn't meen I wasn't short on coolant. What isn't leaking is refridgerant. I bought a DIY refill kit with pressure guage and it shows that I'm not leaking refridgerant at all. I also checked my coolant(in the radiator) and it seems fine.
PS. How do I know if I need to replace my water pump?

First, you said your AC wasn't working at high speed.
Then, you said your motor was overheating.
Are you now telling me that your radiator and overflow tank are filled to spec?
Is your AC is at the correct system presssure?
Is anything leaking from the motor?

The radiator is full though it looks as though my overflow tank is empty. My refridgerant is also full. And yes the A/C won't work at high speeds but I recently noticed that it also makes my car overheat. Nothing is leaking from the motor. The head was rebuilt by Honda about 3 months ago and the entire engine bay is quite clean.

Found the problem.
As it turns out my radiator fan motor was dead. A quick trip to kragen and my cooling system/air conditioner work like a dream. Thanks for your posts. It was actualy a post on a previous thread that pointed me in the right direction.
PS. I have two black and blue fingers that say you should be careful when handleing moving parts. :stupid:
