Default Gsr???

So I'm looking for an integra not particularly any model just 94+

Found a 95 gsr with 91k miles on it for $5500 here in washington state.

Black, clean title, good price or not?

He hasn't had the timing belt, etc changed (90k service) or clutch replaced yet.

Also, he said the previous owner took out the a/c and he doesn't know why. What is the reason for that?

Any input would be great. Thanks

Also...if the a/c was removed was it for racing purposes. Do you think the car was beaten up?

alot of people will remove A/C and power steering for weight reduction and possibly racing, but you never know it could have been removed because it didn't work. Mine doesn't work really and I've been tempted to take it out, but I don't race my teg. Check the engine out, sometimes you can tell when aftermarket parts were on the engine and then replaced with OEM parts. Good luck

only idiots remove their A/C, with the belt disengaged (a/c off) there is minimal if any extra force wasted on it. as for weight reduction it's only a few pounds and not really worth it.

anyone who removes there a/c is most likely beating on there car and doing shoddy home repairs aswell.

The A/C unit actually weighs about 50 pounds, which is a moderate amount for a car as light as the Integra. I intend to take out mine. And it does take up some engine power. While taking this out alone, one wont find too much difference, they do add up.

shmoo took it out a few weeks ago because it was taking up room in the engine bay and wasnt doing it's job...

all said and done he said it weighed about 30 pounds and honestly i don't see the point of losing your A/C unless this is a dedicated race car.

yea i had a 98 gs-r and had the a/c tuned off with the hondata s200......if they took it out theres 2 reasons why....#1 weight reduction or #2 didn't work in the first place then again i'd have it fixed.....but yea i sold mine for 7500....had over 60 mods done n had about 110k mi on it, had the timing belt/water pump chaged at ~90k soooo 5500 is negotiable....if the belt/waterpump and clutch hasn't been changed and is questionable if the the car had aftermarket parts i'd try n work off another grand...just make sure the engine is in good condition (comp. test, leaking/seals, unusual noises, etc....)
