Default bad coilovers?

Ok so i jacked up my teg to see what kind of springs i had and found some coilovers. I heard they weren't that good so i thought i would ask you guys. All i know is they are the R1 racing sport coilovers

And I assume they're being used with your stock shocks?
If so, expect the shocks to fail in the near future.

In general, these eBay coilover sleeves are absolute shit.

When your stock shocks fail., take a good look at a set Koni Yellows and Ground Control coilover sleeves. If your "R1" sleeves have locked up yet, they will soon.. all the cheapo no-name sleeves will.

If your budget is tight, skip the cheapo coilover sleeves altogether. KYB AGX shocks and Tein S-Tech springs will also produce a reasonable drop and still give you the needed wheel travel to ride with reasonable comfort and safety.

or if you're going even cheaper , get some KYB gr-2's and eibach pro kit springs.

kyb's of your choice and teins. I used to run tein basic coilovers on my S13 and can vouch for their engineering
