I live in the Northwest and have a problem with rust (I try to stay on top of it, haha), but thanks for the help!
Also, I have 17inch after market wheels and after market shocks, will this affect my class? and if I switch out the wheel/tires will that help or do I need to trade both?

STS is a pretty popular catagory, it is for 2wd, 4 passenger cars w/o an LSD. the best part about it I think is that it restricts the tire choice to reasonable street tires so if you wnat to be competitive you don't have buy slicks, also you can drive your Auto-X tires on the street without worrying about ruining them or hydroplaning into a tree.

well, my buddy breaking his a-arm was a pretty extreme case of rusting, i just told you that so you know to keep an eye on things that could look qustionable, i doubt youd really have a problem in your case.

i swear every chapter of scca has different rules for classing. either that, or our people in charge arent following the rules out of laziness or they just dont care, which pisses me off. in our version of STS there are all sorts of 4wd vehicles, with lsd's, racing slicks, and all sorts of other mods out the ass. ive been driving my 90 bmw 325iX in D-stock, and all the while have been getting trounced by this bastard with a fucking 2002 audi s4 who by some fluke is also in d stock with me. someone explain to me how that makes sense. a car that is basically new, making 300bhp with just about every bit of modern technology you can throw into a 4wd system, in the same class as a 16 yr old bmw that makes 160hp on a good day. so being competitive is out of the question for me. i dont mean to complain about it because its all in good fun anyways, but something about it just doesnt seem right.
