Default what is the best sri out right now for the gsr?

I have a jdm b18c in my gsr. I just replaced the IM with the skunk 2. I have a dc-sports 4-2-1 and I have a ws2 exhausts. What is my best options for the SRI I want? I DON'T want a CAI. I just don't want the headache. Any recommendations?

Get an Icebox by Comptech.
I'm assuming you don't want a CAI because of issues with hydro-lock. If this is the case, they are a CAI without the worries of hydro-lock.

If you do some searching, you can find a DIY to make your own too.

If there are other reasons you don't want a CAI, I apologize.

any generic SRI for any LS or type-r will work.

that is if you buy the skunk2 manifold. if you dont buy it you will need a gsr SRI... just get an ebay SRI and put a differnt filter on it, most will suggest K&N

the icebox would be a very nice addition seeing as it's the best NA intake i've seen thusfar

I made my own icebox extension. 2 versions actually, the first was super ghetto, running dryer hose from behind the bumper up to the air filter. Next one wasn't too bad. PVC piping worked pretty well but kept falling apart.

So now I just roll short ram

The Password Power Chamber has been getting good reviews though.

AEM V2 is pretty nice. They put a ton of R&D into their products.

And as previously stated, you can do a CAI without concern of hydrolock. It's called a bypass valve.

I've got the AEM SRI. No complaints and works like a champ.

thanks for the replies guys. I just got my car back today and it screams!!!!!! I haven't got on it hard at all except to see if the v-tec kicked in on the new motor, but that one time was worth every penny I spent to replace the usdm motor. Because of the skunk2 IM, I have to get a type r upper strut bar, TB and SRI. I will look for the comtech CAI, but if it's too much then I'll just get theSRI b/c I plan to boost this bad boy in a year. Anyone heard of needing to change to a type r if you go with the skunk2 IM?
