swap install pricing......?
I have a 95 Integra gsr and I'm doing a b18c longblock from japan. I'm relacing the IM to a skunk2 and I just received my exedy clutch and flywheel to be installed at the same time. The company is suggesting that I change out the rear, front main seals, and camseals, etc while the motor is out and apart. I'm also having my timing belt, water pump and tensioner replaced. Although this seems like a lot to do, I think it's a relatively easy install considering 90 percent of the work will be done out of the car. The company that is doing the install is very reputible(they've done work for me before), but they want like 1000 to do this. Is that too much?
where i live that is a very good price considering just getting the clutch installed costs about 400+ to do then the timing belt usually costs anywhere from 200+ and the water pump would prolly run ya another 200+.
yeah, but it shouldn't cost anything to put in my clutch and flywheel b/c my motor and trans will be out. My original trans is going on the new longblock. Plus the timing belt is exposed also. Again, it will be out of the car where everything is easily accessible.
