Advice on a car?
Not important read if you want: I currently drive a Legend but the highend of 22mpg is making it less and less appealing as a daily driver so I'm looking for a 94-96 GSR I've found a few mostly in california and a couple here in Washington anyway to the point!
here's the link to info on a car that is really close by he's unsure what he's going to sell it for the price on it is what the original owner sold it to him for
http://staff.washington.edu/~bradleyb/integra/
(I'm not sure if linking is allowed on this forum or not... it's a washington.edu link so pretty clearly a safe link and has pictures)
Not important read if you want: it has a rebuilt title obvious damage to the passenger door where it was broken into and obvious damage of some kind to the front corner I'm planning on having it checked out by the dealer and a independent specialist I've had do all my Legend service
Questions: it has had a Supercharger since 15,000 is now at 96,000 and came with drag radials... so fairly clearly driven hard part of possibly the majority of it's life but well maintained with records available is it worth buying? what should I look for? I'm not familiar with superchargers aside from knowing how they work, how much is it going to affect gas mileage?
E-Mail excerpts from questions to current owner:
-I believe all the upgrades were professionally installed, including some
of them done by Jackson Racing in California. I should have the documentation for most of them.
-The only things I've done to it are: two-way alarm, alpine stereo
including ipod interface, and I got rid of the A-pillar gauge holder,
putting the boost gauge and air/fuel ratio meter into a replacement instrument cluster bezel, like this: http://www.modacar.com/products/Acur...ter+Instr.html The fuel pressure gauge was not actually connected to begin with. I still have the replacement a-pillar and the OEM instrument cluster bezel.
-The front bumper plastic is fairly scuffed up, but no tears or other problems, everything is straight and true.
-The passenger door around the handle is messed up from being broken
into. They insert some kind of tool there and pull up the linkage to
unlock the door. I think a whole replacement door can be had for around $100, but I've actually been planning to just completely remove the handle and fill it in so the whole thing is flush ("shaved"). In the meantime I simply removed the linkage between the cylinder and the lock, so it is not possible to use any break-in tools there or unlock the passenger door from the outside. The car does have keyless entry so that isn't really an issue.
-I think it gets high 20's for mileage. 28 sounds about right, I might be
able to find some gas receipts where I scribbled down the odometer
reading and do the calculation.
