Default Clutch SQUEALS! Help

Whenever I let my clutch ( Junky Ebay F1 Racing Stage 3, BIG MISTAKE!) out it makes a loud squeal. It used to be only on a hard release of the clutch but now its gettin worse and worse and is doing it even when I let it out slow and easy.

I installed this clutch, pressure plate, flywheel and both bearings about 2-3 months ago, all brand new, but from EBAY! I know Im gonna get flammed for it and poeple will say "You get what you pay for" which I learned my lesson now. But the question stands as, What part is actually making this squeal and if someone has had the same problem what they did to fix it.

I've also heard of people with Good brand clutches having this issue but dont know what they did about it and never was told an actual fix for this issue. Thanks in Advance - Mark

You say when the clutch pedal is down?

I'd guess pilot bearing.

You get what you pay for. Most aftermarket clutches will squeal. Mine squeals when it gets warm.

Agreed. A friend of mine got a Spec clutch on his Turbo'd '00 and it squealed all the time. I couldn't stand it. :hs:

I have an Exedy stage 1 clutch on my gsr that doesn't squeal, though it only has about 2000 miles on it. About when does the squealing start for you guys? Right away or after a few thousand miles?

I've never heard of an Exedy squealing, but it's a higher quality clutch than what has been mentioned here; dispite the fact that Spec is said to be pretty 'high quality'.

My ACT only started squealing after it was so warn that the rivets were eating up the flywheel. Don't let it get to that. :hs:

Default Clutch Sqeals

Clutches don't usually squeal unless something is contaminating it," coolant, brake clean residue... etc ". Clutches usually " CHATTER " So check if have a coolant leak if not check for powder white residue " burnt coolant " I had a similar problem once, after a clutch install ,and it made the the Throw-out bearing sqeal but it went away just drive it easy until it goes away cause it will , but like i said something got in there!

idk about anyhting else but this kid that i know he knows pretty much everything about hondas, says its called clutch chatter, its what happens if you get a clutch that is a "puck" clutch, either a 4 or a 6 puck, i guess since they grab so hard they make that squeeling scheeching sound...idk..thats my two cents
