Guys I Need Help ASAP
Hi Everyone!
This is the deal. I have a 1992 Integra GS. Now, I have these EUROLITE (Electro-Lumicent) gauges I want o install. They are blue in colour and glow bluish at night I guess. My question is, how to install this becaue they have this special inverter or whatever, whose wires have to be somehow connedted to something inside, and I dunno what. There is a black and a red wire ( - and +), now what do I connect them to in order to get electricity to them. I guess I would have to disconnect my bulbs behing my dash. Has anyone done this before.
So i have 4 gauges (rpm, speed, oil, temp.)
one wire from each gauge goes to inverter
from inverter a black and a red wire have to be connected .....where?

ummm you shouldnt have to disconnect any bulbs.
the black is the ground wire. that can go to the ground wire thats already in the gauage cluster or ground it to any part of the chassis.
to power the gauges...you will need to find the wire that turns on when you turn on your headlights. someone else can help with that or you can use a test light.
its pretty straght forward.

But see what happens is this, my stock gauges get light from those bulbs inside, right..??? now these new ones glow by themselves, thats why they have this inverther to bring them power, so i am thinking if this has its own glow i should unscrew bulbs that are there now...do u know what i mean?
i dunno much about wires and stuff and these instructions SUCK and tell u nothing,, but thanks anyway
Now another thing is: Is is hard to take the old gauges out

no man.
the bulbs in the cluster lights up the numbers and symbols. so you can see your mileage, if you trunk is open, the low gas light......
and you dont take the old guages out....the new ones goes on top of them. like a sticker.

Will is right about not taking the bulbs and the stock gauges off. Once the new gauges are in place the only lights u'll see are the mileage and the needle lights. You might need something to hold the gauges down onces they're in so that it doesn't interfere with the movement of the needles. I used a toothpick to apply light dots of silcone to hold the gauges down. Also you might wanna cut out or file down little inserts on the bezel where the wires go out so the wires aren't pinched by the bezel when you put things back together. You can probably find power in your fuse box inside the car so that it turns on with your parking lights, but use a test light first. Good Luck dude!

I don't know if this is too complicated to install.
Can't those little screws that are holding stock gauges, can't I use them to hold my new ones down

Are there holes on your new gauges for the screws???if so use them but i would also use something to hold the gauges down besides the screws especially around the needles. Also try not to use something that is too thick because your needles will get stuck. i heard of the double stick tape solution as well but i couldn't find any thin enough to use!

the holes that are in the gauges are to line up with the needle. the stock clusters have little pins sticking up for those holes.
