after the first run, a bud told me to drop the clutch when the second yellow goes off, so thats when i hit the .600 r/t (i didnt totally DROP it, but i did lay some rubber down) i dropped at about 4k

on the third run, i dropped it at the same time, but at 5.5k rpm

i dunno why the r/t was so low...i friggin redlighted in th efirst round eliminations, grrrr

i was at 25psi on some yokohama radials. i'll try 20-22 psi next time

it would be friggin badass if i could get a 15 at this altitude!
& i am very pleased with how i did my first time at the track

Learn how to feather the gas, or feather the clutch...you'll have much better 60' times and your 1/4 mile et will drop as well.

I'm a relatively new at runnin at the track as well. My best 60' was a 2.388(i don't know if that is good or not?) with my tire pressure at 25psi and i ran a 15.433. I know for sure my car is a high 14 sec car but i just can't get to it. I don't really understand the whole meaning of 60'. Can someone inform me on it and some tips on helping me get better times. Oh and i was launching at 4k and dropping the clutch. I'm gonna try slipping i guess next time. Hopefully i can do it.

I have a 96 gsr.
My engine mods are
-DC 4-2-1 Header
-Tanabe RM
-Hi/Flo cat
-AEM cai

The owner before me got a 15.4 with just the intake so i know i can get high 14's. Well hopefully i guess i shouldn't be so sure. Oh and I think my wheels may be part of the problem. They're the 16' TSW VX1's..i think they weigh something like 22lbs and i think that may be whats slowing me down. I don't know any comments would be appreciated.
