88' Integra 5spd man. 108,000miles...
Code 17-Speed sensor...Speedometer is working fine. Highbeam, Check engine and battery indicators are on.(Guage cluster) Squeeky Grinding noise coming from camgears area!...Idle is eratic...Power steering is out too!! WTF!!
Why would a code 17 cause these problems?
I recently installed a new dizzy. Faulty dizzy??
The car was running PERFECT before this...No smoke no mods no Nothing!!
Any info would help.

sounds like you need to start poking around for electrical stuff. you may want to grab yourself a multimeter and a helms manual. i've heard that a bad ground can cause unpredictable behavior... maybe start there? hopefully some of the more experienced folks will chime in.

 

I'll try that out...Just sux because I'm in the process of moving right now.
I'm gonna swap out the dizzy since I still have warranty on it...I been hearing that the tensioner may be causing the squeeky/Grindin noise too.
Dunno??
I'll prep the "O.R." once I'm settled in.

no prob. do some searching on this site and on honda-tech, you might find something good.

 

All of the pullys arent spinnin!!!!!...just noticed it...Missing a bolt out of the bottom pully!! I was told that I need a new Woodruff key and crank pully bolt!...What's the best way to get to and remove the crank pully?
