okay my car is pissing me off with this idle shit. i have posted but have gotten no response i have searched and everything so domnt tell me to use the search bar. so what i want to know is everything that can make my idle go all wackey. my idle is droping below 100RPM when the car is sitting there she wont die out but its just so damn annoying to sit there and ahve the car shake really hard because of the idle. so if anyone can please help me i would appericate it alot thanks

hows the timing on your car?? does it start right up, or have a little trouble??

 

car always starts on the first crank but sometimes it will crank maybe 4 times if it hasnet been started for like 2-3 days

i do have my timing advanced

 

does the idle bounce around any? or just drop low and stay low?

 

it bounces around, it goes low and will sit there and sometimes it will be fine

 

you might have bad fuel filters, or you just might need to do get it injectors cleaned out, go to checker or autozone and get the fuel treatment stuff for her and it should fix it...

hahacker, I am having a similar problem with my teg. After the car has fully warmed up, the idle likes to dip like yours and will almost bounce off the bottom end of the revs. (100-200 rpm). I usually have to hold the gas to keep the idle up at that point. Lately I have been turning on my radiator fan and this has brought the idle up a bit. I have noticed that one of my injectors is not firing properly so maybe you have a related issue? Just a thought. Good luck with everything and let us know what you find out.

 

about the throttle body cleaner could i use CARB cleaner instead

i wouldnt suggest it the fuel treatment stuff works really great you put in when you have a almost full tank and run it til your gas light comes on and after that tank cycle you should see major improvements $20 bucks top is you will spend
