94-01 Closest replacement shift knobs
I just joined the ranks of the Integras... found a '95 with 70k miles
on it, one owner, no accidents. I'm happy. I really like the shape/fit of the OEM shift knob on it but it is a wee bit worn. What are good replacements for it? I like the standard RSX one and some of the Momo's. The main thing I'm looking for is that it look relatively stock. That is, the shift knob goes all the way down to the shift boot and it looks like it could have been there from day one. Thanks for any ideas (or pictures of installed ones.:)) |
Why don't you just get another oem one? You can find shift knobs almost anywhere, just do a google search or look on ebay

Im stupid and spent $45 on my 1995 LS knob. However i think it has the best feel and look with the double bend shifter. unless youre into those hott aftermarket l.e.d. knobs. :lmao:

if you're looking for something other than stock, this looks like a nice alternative:
http://www.fox-stock.com/index.php?m...roducts_id=190 however, be prepared to freeze your hand in the winter, and burn your hand in the summer. :o or keep a rag in the car to handle the knob until the temp. balances out in the cabin. |

I've got the skunk2 weighed knob and I LOVE it. Reno is right though, especially in direct sun that thing gets so hot you can barely shift. The weight gives it an amazing shift feel IMHO. If you've got the bucks, go w/ that fox knob or the skunk2, you won't be disapointed. |
I have a related question. Were the shift knobs ever different between the 94-01 Integras? I have a '94 gsr and my buddy had a '99 and the shift knobs felt completely different even though I believe they were both stock. Also, there is a slight gap between the shift boot and shift knob on mine.

I've replaced the vinyl covered shift knobs in my 94 gsr sedan and 94 si with some leather oem integra ones. Not sure which integras these came off of, but they are nice. Leather is the only way to go. Good grip, and unlike the metal ones, winter or summer, they are comfortable to grasp.

Which OEM Integra shifter did you get? The one's I've found do not specifically say leather so I assume they aren't. |
