Default b16a1 question

well i just bought this 92 integra with a b16a1 motor and a gsr tranny. I want to get some more power out of the motor and was wondering what i should do. i dont want a turbo because they are a little too expensive and i also want reliability as well as performance. So maybe i could switch out the block or head? im dont know if that can be done or if it would give me anymore power. Does anyone have any suggestions?

And get ±10hp for about $1000?

I'd save up and turbocharge.

What's your realistic budget limit?

While the startup cost of a turbocharger may be on the high-side compared to bolt-ons, the hp / $ ratio is much better. Furthermore, the B16* is direly lacking in torque...so forced induction will make the most difference in daily driving.
