Default fan cut off

i have a JMD 91 LS with bout 104k on the engine and a fan does not always cut off after u turn off the engine..... its not the ac fan and the fan only quits once the battery is dead or after bout 5 mins sometimes longer of letting the fan run after i turn off the car go back and "start" the car without pressing the clutch ..... i was talking to some friends and one of them thought it was a bad relay cable so im getting frustrated at my car and dont have the money to "waste" in my car cuase i was about to start looking at suspension does anyone have a reliable sugestion this while im at it? .. back to the issue i hate wakeing up to a dead car battery and need to solve this issue

probably a bad relay... search to find out how to fix it, or you could always put an inline switch in (cost ya about $5.00) and you could turn your fan on/off whenever you felt
