Default Uh-Oh i crashed it :(

Im in quite the delima.... i hit a curb going like 100 Km/h (or 60miles for you yanks) and i think i bent the axle frame or something... i havent had a change to get it to a shop yet becuase my neighbor is replacing the cv joint that exploded during impact (even my windsheild shattered thats how hard i hit). But my question is this... anyone know approx how much it would be to fix.. i can up load some pics if need be. My tire is pushed back far now... not in the centre of the wheel well anymore. I bought my car for like $2400 canadian and if im going to need possibly new axle how much do they run. I think if it is over $1000 to fix im going to just screw it and get a new car. Any Opions before i pay to get it towed to the mechanics?? Thanks

It will be over $1000 to fix it. The suspension work alone will not be cheap since it will all most likely have to be replaced.

Even without pictures, this is sounding like a total loss. :hs:

Not to sound preachy, but this also sounds like a combination of too much speed and not enough traction. h:

you just gotta hope you didn't tweak the frame. if you're really lucky you can replace some suspension pieces and go on your way. just take it as a lesson learned. when that happened to me, i destroyed my poor gsr... i just sold what's left of it a week ago for dude to pull the motor.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to ditch the car and start over. My friend did something similar and it was problem after problem after initially getting it fixed.

Yeah thanks for the info.. im still going to get someone to look at it and see if all is lost or not

P.S. i wasnt driving like an idiot.. the street lights were out because of a power outage and the island curb was to the right of me and i must of dirfted over a little too far... it was on the highway so i was doing highway speeds. Im not an idiot with my car

even if it will cost 7-800 you think i would still run into problems?? and how much could i get for my car if i part it out? Thanks guys

yeah those island curbs are a bitch, a friend of mine hit one of those in his 240. wasn't too bad though, just broke the trailing arm and LCA. but he was not going 60.
