Leaky Radiator - Hairline Cracks - Pics Inside
My Integra is losing antifreeze. It took me some time to find the exact source of the leak but here it is. First pic shows the area of the leak and the second pic shows some horizontal hairline cracks at the top of the radiator facing the engine (look closely and you'll see the horizonatal lines). Is this a BARS Stop-leak kind of fix or is this a new radiator kind of fix. Is the top of the radiator really plastic?

You can get a factory re-manuefacteured radiator for about $140-$165 in most places. I would do that. That sealer shit is only temporary and there is no exact time to how long it will hold. I had this problem about 10k miles ago and had it swapped immediatley. You have to remember that the radiator is under a lot of pressure and once the finger in the dam lets out it begins to go from there no matter what you. Also, if a cop sees a serious enough leak coming from your car, he can write you a ticket for improper disposal of hazardous material and then have your car towed. If he/she wanted to be a dick ofcourse...
I'd give JB weld a whirl.. I'v used it on my motorcycle to fix a busted crank case MANY time lol.. (actually 3 of my bikes have jb weld

honestly... just get a new one with metal tanks... if i had the money it's the route i would have gone. I had a similar problem... switched out the rad for a honda OEM and i'll just get the metal tanked one when the turbo goes on

Tegbooster is on the money; upgrade to a full aluminum radiator and replace the hoses while you're at it. When my OEM radiator craps out, I know that's what I'll do.
