My daughter has a 91 teg and I replaced both half shaft CV axles and was surprised at how smooth it went. I think I had to fork out the cash for a socket to fit the axle nut but still better than taking it to a shop.

This link has some pretty good (although generic) instructions. http://www.raxles.com/install.htm

that's impressive... a way to check if the T-belt was replaced, pull off the valve cover and look at the condition... if it was replaced (like it was supposed to be at 90k) then it would have almost no wear. If it wasn't ever replaced, your car is a rolling time bomb and i would suggest doing it ASAP

If a shop replaced the timing chain there should be some kind of sticker showing when it was replaced and the mileage

^thats if a shop did it... if the guy that owned it before him is anything like me... he'd wanna change the t-(belt not chain) himself
