Default brake issues

I have a 95 GSR w/185000 on it. I've taken good care of the car since i bought it. My problem is after driving for a while my brakes act up. The pedal has a sinking feeling and i get scared so i pump them to stop. I already changed all the brake pads front/rear and changed the fluid in the mc. There is no air in the lines, i've bleed them 3 times thinking that was the problem. Any help would be great.

I really don't know what to say about your brakes, maybe your master cylinder is on its way out? I have to say though that I really like your car. A white DB8 is exactly what I'm looking for.

mine just started doing that too. i talked to a buddy of mine and he said that it was the lines. so i got some braided steel ones. i have a much firmer pedal and it is more sensative. i think since it has been warming up the hoses have been expanding. just a thought. but my probs are fixed. good luck

it's possible the lines have started to clog up a bit.... it does have a lot of mileage on it. My suggestions would be.....

-Check for leaks at your master cylinder
-drive the car hard, with hard braking and see how much fluid has been retained... if the level has dropped at all... you either have air (doubtful) your lines are leaking
-after you've ruled out both of those and decided that there is no leaks or air in the lines, replace the lines themselves.
-are you sure that your brakes were properly adjusted when they were installed?
-check the level of the pedal and the bolts at the top to ensure it's not just coming loose on it's own.

that's about all i can think of right now... try that out and see where you stand

could be the same thing i had, mcyl needed to be replaced.

with mine, it was ok stopping, but if i sat there with the pedal depressed, it would slowly sink to the floor, and i'd have to pump it. it got worse when i replaced the fluid, and replacing the mcyl fixed it.

sounds to me like a leak or air in the lines.

Try flushing your brake lines out completely
