Default integra [1990 GS w/ starting problems]

My 90 integra gs is having a similar problem to one ive read about on this site. When i picked it up it ran fine for about four hours, when i got to my street i stalled and would not start, im thinking its the distributor but not sure if i should replace it. when started the car runs great.

You check the battery connections and your battery life?

Default Damn

Somebody help me.My alternator is fine, doesnt seem to be any electrical problems. The car stutters a bit in some gears and the tachometer goes all over the place. I dont know what is wrong with my car. I wont start occasionally and im doubting it is th fuel pump.

Since we're still talking about the same car, please use one thread for problem diagnosis and repair. Thank you.

I think I'm the one your refering to, I still havent figured it! I did have a problem starting the car about a week after geting it back, I have a FPR and it was turned up to about 90 psi, I turned it to 55-60 psi and its been fine with starting. The distributer is about 800 from the dealer so I hope our problems dont lead us to this point. hope this helps you a little.

Turn it down to 40-45psi. 60psi is too high, 90psi would brake sh*t.

would it really, thanks for leting me know. I went to a shop called IN LINE FOUR and they said i need a vtec controller because of my stage 2 blox cams, they said they make power from 6000 & up in the rpm's. I have a stock ecu, could this be the problem solver or no? any ideas?
