I just had the head rebuilt ported, new ngk plugs, msd wires less than 1000 miles ago. this has been going on for about 50000 miles i cant feel a difference in power but i am tired of cleaning the carbon buildup on the exhust. I am also worried about smog. all add ons to my car are all carb exempt in CA.

Umm... if you're running that rich, you should be tripping a CEL for poor cat-con performance or a dying oxygen sensor.

On a related note, how's your oil consumption?

I would get rid of that ignition system before you start troubleshooting the problem.

my oil consumption is alittle more than normal. i just had the o2 sensor replaced and yes my cel is on. it only comes on when the car has been running for about a minute.

In the future, please tell us if your CEL is on.

Click on the "Integra FAQ Thread" link (in my signature) and look up the procedure for pulling the CEL code.
I've included a table to decipher the code as well.

If you have trouble getting the ECU to cooperate, go to your local Pep Boys, they'll pull it with their scanner for free, I believe.

Once you have the diagnostic code, come back here and we'll help you out.
