need help asap
I recentley blew the head gasket on my 95 gsr and had it fixed, while in the shop I put on blox stage 2 cams, skunk2 v.springs and retainers, manifold, b&M fpr, typeR pistons s2000 tb, with mach porting and honing. my problem is since I got it back it revs to about 4700 and then makes a funny sound like theres a rev limiter there. if I push past this god ofall noise then at 5300 the car will take off without problems untill the next gear. Has anyone had this happen and maybe know the answer of whats wrong, anything would help. I have a stock ignition system and stock ecu, could this be the problem?

for what it's worth
I by no means am a good mechanic, but I would think your car should
run better than that, despite the fact that your ECU is stock. I believe
you'll need to upgrade your ECU and do dyno tuning to get the most
of your set-up, but it should still tun better than what you describe.
You might want to take it back to the mechanic who did all the work
for more answers. I have a great shop in Irvine if you interested?
Good luck,
