quick dc 421 header question

Default quick dc 421 header question

i'm planning to buy dc headers but don't know if i should get 1 piece or 2 piece. they are the same price. any advantage to either>? also any performance dif between ss and ceramic? can ceramic handle a jr supercharger? thanks

get a SS...they will last longer.

i dont know about performance between 1 or 2 piece....but it was a b1tch installing my 1 piece. i couldnt get my car high enough to get the header under my car at the right angle.

i used to have the 4-1 ceramic..it was badass... 1yr and it never failed

one year isnt that long. ive had mine for a good 1.5 years. havent cracked yet.

if you're getting a JRSC...get a Kamikaze header.

the cermic is a much stonger material. it also has great heat insulation properties, which will help with heatsoak along the exhaust path. however, although it is strong, ceramic is inherently brittle. so cracking and chipping would be the only worry.

the stainless steel is probably the best bet if this is your road car, as it will almost certainly last longer, and the strength isn't that important on the headers.

what about 4-2-1 vs 4-1? what's the dif in performance?

a 4-2-1 is more for midrange power and the 4-1 is more for top-end power.

I have the 4-1, it's almost been a year and still no problems, the 4-1 header is the wa to go!!!
