Default Gas cap question ????????????????????

Do you guys hear anything when you remove the gas cap on your Integra?

I've driven BMW, Toyota , and Mazda vehicles that make a hissing sound when the gas cap is removed. I'm trying to investigate if I should buy a new gas cap because I don't hear any noise from mine.

Damn, I hope it's just the cap. I've never heard anything when removing my gas cap.

Maybe a new cap will help fuel economy because I only get 275-290 to a tank of gas.

That's not too bad. I get around 240 a tank. My cap will hiss every now and then, but not all the time. I think your case is normal.

what do you usually fill up at? if you haven't done spark plugs in a while, do that.. that will definitely affect your fuel economy.

i get hissing from the cap just about every time i fill up. it's normal.

oh, and i'm just about always above 30mpg..

Well during the winter months I never let it get below half a tank. There's still snow falling in CT. During the warmer months I'll run it down to quarter of a tank. I changed the spark plugs ten thousand miles ago.
