I've got to tell you, some of the responses I've noticed on this forum lately
have been less than courteous. I'm new to this all and am working with my
son's on building their first cars. I initially found this forum for the most
to be filled with helpful and courteous members.

Lately I've come across a few members who I guess know more than the rest of us. To me this a a real shame. I know for myself that I have alot to learn, but by no means is that license for someone else to be rude and
shitty. I don't really have thin skin, but being made fun of due to lack of
experience or knowledge to me is what this forum should not be about.

Wrong forum.This belongs in the butt hurt section...j/k. For reals though, when you're new your gonna get hazed and are bound to ask things that have been covered time and time again. Thus "search" or FAQ it before you ask. I apologize if I ever hurt your feelings. It's just the lingo for talking shop. Don't let it bother you.

Thanks, no feelings hurt, I just feel that people shouldn't be put down simply
due to the fact that their trying to learn and may not be quite as informed
as others. Not trying to make a big deal, just feel as though everyone should be treated as an adult with respect.

 

that would work if people posted/searched like adults.... unfortunately... faq is not read... TOS isn't read... so people break the rules... there are times when i think guys are just being assholes.... but then again most of the time they deserve it :dunno:

there's people like that everywhere that think having been here longest and been here before everyone else makes them that much better. same goes for people with the most number of posts. if you really want to see that mentality i suggest you not get into old toyotas. they are the worst.
