Default 94 LS bumming

I hope someone can shed some light on my situation before I throw too much more money at my problem. My car has 240k miles on it but still runs great I have recently been experiencing some weird things though I will be driving and all of a sudden my car will just turn off like someone reached over and turned the key off then it wont start back up for a few minutes it will turn over but no fire. I took it in a few days ago the honda repair shop could not find anything wrong but I did have them do a timming belt water pump plugs wires and cap and rotor. It is still doing the same thing after $950 worth of work. I ordered a whole new distributor waiting for it to arrive. Hope someone has some info on this

Potentially stupid question for you. Did you check your battery connections? I had a similar problem and it turned out my positive battery cable had just come loose and wasn't making a good connection.

Default Probably the ignitor inside distributor

but if that doesn't fix the problem it may be the main relay or ignition switch.

okay first of all i had the same problem it and i figured out that it was my distrubitor and it cant be the battery, if it was then you have a bad alternator because you should be able to start your car then take out the battery and it should still run fine thats if there is nothing wrong with your alternator. but ye atake off the cap and check the rotor one more time and make sure its is on the tightly and if you already ordered a new distribuitor then you did the right thing because that will fix your problem.

i would be driving on the highway and then my car would just shut off all of a sudden just like if i were to turn the key and put it in netural then i would have to pull over and then wait like 5 mins and then it would start right up also another way you can tell is if your driving and all of a sudden your tach starts going crazy then you know you need a new distrubitor
