Tough decision
I have a tough decision. In Sept. I had one of my R's stolen during the Katrina evacuation. My other one escape the thieves and the hurricane, but now I'm to the point where I'm tired of the car. I'm thinking about selling it to buy something a little less appealling to the thieves (TSX). I feel defeated because I have to look out for the car so much. Of coarse I'm a die hard R fan, and hate to see it fall into the wrong hands. But I feel I have no real choice if I plan to sleep soundly again. I bought an MDX to replace the first R. Would you throw in the towel to become a family man? Bitch ass thieves!
A friend of mine had a PY '00 which he sold to get a CW '98. He is a diehard ITR fan to the end. However, he tired of the noise, theft potential, etc. that comes with owning an ITR. He decided to sell the '98. In it's place, he got an '05 TSX. He loves the luxury, quietness, classy but sporty looks, etc. However, he truly misses the "fun to drive" factor of the ITR which the TSX just doesn't have. He replaced the rear bar and some other things in an attempt to improve on the handling and to make the car fun. It didn't work that well. He's thinking about selling the TSX and getting another ITR.
That's just one perspective, but don't do something now that you'll regret in the future.
