Default hondabond question

okay i have seen alot of people talking about hondabond and i have no idea what it is i hae never heard of it or anything i tried to look it up online and i still couldnt find it. is it a code name for another type of oil and if there is a site can you tell me where i can find a can of this stuff

Hondabond is the gluebond the factory uses to hold your gaskets in place during installation. Like the VC gasket. OP gasket etc...no big deal it can be bought at the dealership for about 20 bucks I think...most people will use silicone in its place or even a real good booger. LOL...

it's just honda's version of a liquid gasket, and there are actually a few versions of it. unless you have something that needs sealing, save your money.

I just buy the gray gasket sealer from Autozone for $4. It is the same thing as hondabond, but a hell of a lot cheaper.

is that needed for say, Exhaust manifold or oil pan gaskets?

you can use in on the oil pan if you want, but the exhaust manifold you Dont have to use it on
