Default un-lowering

Hi, my teg was lowered but when i drive, it makes the ride uncomfortable, if i go over a small hole or bump u can hear a loud "BANG" from the wheel getting sandwiched and the car shakes. Anyway last year i went over a pot hole that i didn't notice and 1 of my wheels cracked which are 16"s by the way. So i had it repaired and the guy told me "if you dont change your rims or unlower the car your going to come back to fix another wheel" lol. Then a few months ago i was stupid enough to go over an old speed bump which broke the splash gaurd off from under my car. Anyway i wasn't the one who lowered my car so i dont know much about lowering. I think it might be even more dangerous driving when it snows so i thought i should buy coil overs so i can adjust them just for the winter. But then i read somewhere that it makes the ride even harsher with coil overs. So now i'm thinking to replace the coil springs i have now with some normal standard coil springs. But i'm not sure yet, does anyone have any advice or suggestions for me? What would you do?

when you replaced your springs to lower... did you replace your shocks as well...

also what is the setup your running right now... i have a feeling you have a lower quality spring... this shouldn't be happening with rims as small as 16"...

there is one more idea... if you slow the fuck down over speed bumps and pot holes you might not have the same issue.... i suggest you get back to us on those struts... and i have a feeling ur ebay springs just aren't cutting it....

calm down there. no need to be aggressive.

anyway, get yourself some quality springs that don't slam your ride, and some quality shocks while you're at it. search the forum for ideas.

oh, and welcome to the board.

sorry didn't mean to sound aggressive.... i was saying it in a friendly laughing manner... one reason i don't like the internet... the true intent is not displayed... but yeah... like they all said... better springs better shocks and ur problem should be solved

From reading the title, do you even want the car loward at all? If not, get some factory springs from ebay or a junkyard and some new struts if thier needed.

Default same problem

I just bought my son a 95 teg 3 door and it was lowered on original OEM
shocks and some no name lowering sleeves. I replaced the OEM shocks with Tokico blues I believe and will be getting H&R race springs soon. I
beleive this combination will be a big improvement. As it is now, it's like
riding in a covered wagon.

Good Luck,
