Default Excessive break dust on one wheel

My 2000 GSR emits whirring noise at speeds >60mpg. I also noticed excessive break dust on the right front wheel. Today I went closer to the wheel and noticed excessive heat coming out of this wheel as compared to the left front wheel.

I changed my FRONT break pads and the rotors only last year (Brembo parts from importrp.com).

Can someone throw some light as to what might be wrong? Looks to me that, probably the pad is worn (and may be the rotor is warped too).

Is it common to screw up the pads/rotors with in a year? I dont even put lot of miles on my car (I have a bike and ride it when ever I can).

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

well, it sounds like the brakes are dragging on that side. perhaps the sliders are sticking. do you notice the car pull in any direction when you let off the gas?

Yeah sometimes. Also the pad on the right seems worn more than the one on the left (I might have to double check on that one, though).

definitely sounds like the brakes are dragging. i would pull that side apart, clean everything up, grease the sliders, check for proper function on the caliper and everything.. etc..
