1st gear lock out?

It also doesn't have synchros, so you'd need to rev match at low speeds as well.

No no... I don't do that
I'll just coast to a stop light in neutral, and while at a full stop try to put it into 1st and it won't let me... because the gears are still spinning down from lack of resistance by being in a gear???

While at a full stop, it's difficult to put in gear due to lockout/no synchros.

I've noticed the same thing sometimes. 1st and reverse just seem to be fickle

hmm.. are you certain about there being no 1st gear synchro? i thought i remember seeing a 1st/2nd synchro set in the helms.. it certainly feels/sounds like one exists.

i thought there was a ring or something that stops you from shifting into first above 15 mph...

I'm glad that it's not an issue, just something that I never noticed though..

you should be rev-matching in the first place. people who don't rev-match are stupid.
