should be fine unless just make sure the diamaters are the same because too big of a wire will fry ur pistons

yeah i've never heard of bigger wires being a possible risk to your pistons...that seems like a really wrong rumor...if I'm not mistaken, the nology wires, and some other companies, are thicker than stock...if they would come close to even maybe causing trivial damage to your pistons, they wouldn't be made.

you should be okay...if all the lengths and ends fit, then you should be good.

What on earth are you talking about? :screwy:

The more likely result of an oversized wire is insufficient spark and lagging ignition timing. How you draw the conclusion that pistons will be "fried" is baffling. :a:

The worst case scenario is the that the wires are undersize and that over time, the insulation fails due to excessive heat. IMO, that's the most likely result, which is why I don't recommend swapping D-series wires onto a B-series motor.

It will probably work as an interim solution, but I wouldn't rely on it.

I don't know why people get the idea of swapping wiresets between models. Why not cough up the $25 to get a set of OEM equivalents from Auto Zone and know that there won't be a problem down the road?

that's not what he's saying...he's just saying that he doesn't see any reason why people would use, say, D series wires on a B series motor, or H series wires on a D series...

I agree with Dave though...you can use em, but order a set that's meant for your engine.

If it fits it fits. The wire between the caps, from plugs to dist. cap, the wire itself is generally the same. The caps just make it fittable to different cars, all the while serving the same purpose. If everything clicked together nicely your good to go, I wouldn't worry about it.

Nology wires are crap. Ditch them while you can. NGKs are cheaper and perform better.
