Default CEL Code 89???

i pulled this code off my 92 LS..... i checked, but it doesn't seem that code 89 exist... it flashed 8 time, paused, then 9 times...... weird thing is, the flashing was the same speed.. am i reading it wrong?? thanx!! btw, the CEL came on after my radiator started smoking for a lil while

could be 2 different codes 8 and 9
8 TDC Position
9 No 1 Cylinder Position

thanx! is it expensive/difficult to fix the problem?? someone said i need a new distributor??

how many miles on ur teg... has the basic maitenance always been done... something like cap/rotor might help this out

just replaced the rotor and cap and few weeks ago... and the distributor itself was replaced abt 1.5 yrs ago.... got it from autozone, so do u think there's a warranty on it?? car has 155K on it

well, the new distributor will be coming in in a few days.. but in the mean time, is it ok to drive the car around?? will it mess up the motor even more?? my gf needs to drive to class, so i dunno if she should

generally autozone and places like that have warranties... but 1.5 years is a long time... i'd imagine it's a 1yr warranty if at all

well, it's a lifetime warranty.... i bought it 1.5 yrs ago, but put only 11K on the car since then.... i bought it from Advance Auto Parts, and they dun have any stores in the west coast..... i called the store where i bought it from, but the manager wasn't there.... have to wait till tomorrow and see if they will warranty the distributor or not
