how do i disable the clutch switch when i have to start the car...
trying to install a remote start thats why i need that....

 

At the clutch switch there should be two wires. Just connect them together.

 

I recently installed a R.S on my wifes 5 spd civic. My orginal plan was to run the brake wire from the starter to the clutch as well as the brake. (the R.S. was made for an auto which needs a brake sig. to start.) however the switch was so far up in there and the wire was so short I just unplugged it and jabbed a little piece of wire in the into it.

By the way unless you are really in the habit of NEVER leaving it in gear i wouldn't install a R.S. w/o some sort of safeguard.

i dont even get why people leave it in gear unless ur on a slope...

You should leave it in gear and use the e-brake. The e-brake cable can be cut, and if you don't leave it in gear, a little pushing or any kind of tow and your car is silently gone. Also, using the e-brake will prevent stress from being put on your trans if you are on a slope.

Stop, pull the e-brake, turn your car off, then let off the clutch while your car is in first.

 

I really don't think leaving it in gear is going to keep your car from getting stolen. They will have no problem dragging it onto the flat bed wether it is gear or not. Also if they are anything like repo men they will just hook a chain up to it and drag it a couple blocks and then they will stop and hook it up to the tow truck.
