well I just got back from smogging my car and it didnt pass!!, Anyways, i had just finished rebuilding the motor and i expected it to pass but i didnt change the plugs and plug wires, the man at the smog station said it wasnt anything big, just that the emissions is just above not passing, but he said that my catalyc converter may be bad becaus ethe reason i rebuilt my motor was because a valve broke, so now i have to figure out what can be wrong, any recommandations about my problem will be appreciated.
Thanks,

start with the stuff you know about, go from there. you probably bent a valve from over-revving, right, so i'm assuming the rest of your system is pretty flushed out?

Well to clear things up, unfortunately I made the mistake of buying the car and trhen it broke down after a months use, and no, I rarely push my car to high revs only when "trying " to keep up with my friends evo, but other than that I'll look into the cat and with that, whta do you guys recomend, a high flow cat or the OEM cat, right now I only have an exhaust header and will probably get a fujitsubo power getter cat back exhaust.
Thanks,

you know, of all the cars i've owned, the one that always got the cleanest smog checks was my accord, which i railed on for 3.5 years. we're talking bouncing off the rev-limiter about once a week, here. i always kept fresh oil in it and the car never gave me a single problem, passed smog waaaaaay under the limit.
