why it there all that oil leaking down, is it from the distributor?

The gasket is metal. There is no way it will stick on there in chunks. Just pry it off.
I was thinking intake side but still sand that rust off there.

In the first and second picture, it is very apparant that you have a nasty oil leak from your cam seal. I would fix that ASAP.

golden eagle black cam seal has been ordered and is in shipment. IS THIS HARD TO DO. the cover is off already and the cams are showing.

Not even. You just have to remove the cam cover on the exhaust side and then pry the piece off that houses the cam seal. Just make sure you use hondabond around the cam seal (not on the o-rings) and that metal piece.

i was reading that you used gray shit from autozone insted of hondad bond for the cam cover......i can use this here too right?
