Bright is relative. They are a little brighter than stock, but the 9004 bulbs are not bright to begin with. They are probably one of the dimmest bulbs available.

well, this is what I did. I have 99 Teg, so the regular headlights are 9006, I bought a pair off 9005. Now the difference between these 2 are, the 9006 have a coating on the end of the bulb so that the bulb isnt as bright. The 9005 have no coating so of course the bulb will be brighter. The 9005 will fit into the 9006 socket, with very little tweaking, i used a pair of dykes to trim the the part where the bulb locks into place on the headlight. Then you must modify the plug a little so that the harness will fit on there. If you want I can provide pics if someone wants. These bulbs are bright, i get people flashing there high beams at me, while driving at night.

 

cool what kind of 9005 bulbs did you buy? my acura 91 would use 9004 bulbs are they bright?

 

i got 9005 mtec golden style bulbs and theyve lasted about a year. i like them, i think theyre good quality. just make sure theyre real mtec, immitators are shiddy.
