Default about to buy a 1995 GSR

im about to buy a GSR from my teacher for 5k, has like 140k on it. what are all the things that i should check under the hood before buying? he told me that theres juss a few minor problems just an oil leak and there's this liqid leaking inside the car on the clutch, "but everthing else is in perfect condition" that what he said. but anyways what should i check under the hood?. what do you guys think?

If $5,000 is what hes asking for it, and you're not gonna offer any less, then its totally up to you. A GS-R wth 140k on it isnt worth $5,000, but if u want it for that price, then you might as well tell him to get that clutch leak fixed. It's the least he can do to make the WHOLE car in perfect selling condition.

the clutch pedal fluid is probably a leaky master cylinder, simple fix not expensive, he can at least do that

i just blue booked that car in california w/ 140k in EXCELLENT condition and it was 4,900....so i would either offer 4400-4500 max or tell him to fix everything before u buy it for 5....cuz 5 is excellent condition

id have him fix it...and offer him 3,900 cash take it or leave it...but make sure u test drive it too....(with out him in it) trust me ull feel alot better doin it like that cause u can check how much the car can really handle when u step on it

check the oil leak and ask him to fix the master cylinder. the rest is up to you. i think 5000 is ok but i wouldn't pay anything more for that car. if he can lower the price for you a little i think it'd be a better deal.
