how low can you go?

Default how low can you go?

ive been looking around for a while and cant find anything on this so i figure this would be a good place to ask. does anyone know the lowering limit for a car in california?

I wouldn't go lower than 2" considering the poor condition of California roads.

as long as you don't go so low that you are shooting sparks out the back you are fine. CA roads are horrible so i would suggest no more then 2" as well.

my brother's 89 civic lx has sprint lowering spring they are originally 2 1/2" down thats the most they make so he wanted to go lower so we cut 2 full rings so now the car is like 4" all around it looks good it handdles good and we have never scratch the so cal roads get tokico's too, the're good and they help u too in bumppy roads

in CT there are minimum clearance laws, not sure about CA

I have never heard that one before. I wouldn't surprise me at all if that were an actual law, though.

yes there is a law in california i got pulled ever for it but becasue my height was legal in arizona, they let me go. and its your lights have to be 22 in above the ground. they that is lowest possible height for some behind you to see you coming or somethin. the cop told me that its hard to go under that but with my old crx i think they were like 18 inches above the ground

is it measured from the center or the bottom of the headlight?

center of the headlight, and if they are REAL assholes they will measure ur liscence plate as well.... if you have one
