Default when are stock gsr shocks worn out?

i don't really want to dump a bunch of $ into my 94 gsr, but i am wondering if after 145k, the stock front shocks (and the rear too) are probably in need of replacement.

thoughts?

if the general verdict is that it is a good idea to replace them, what is a reasonable replacement option? again, i'm not looking for anything racy, just better than worn out ones.

anything else that i should think about suspension-wise with a car with this many miles that would smooth the ride back out?

KYB GR-2 is a nice aftermarket shock that is non-adjustable, but very affordable. I am running them now with no complaints.

so i take it the answer is "yes, your oem shocks are probably in need of replacement"?

is there any general wisdom to replacing all 4, or do the fronts get worn out the most quickly with the engine weight over them?

I pulled the stock shocks out of my 91 at about 290k and that was mainly because I was changing springs. The way to tell if you need shocks is to bounce the car up and down. If it goes back to it's normal height and stops, your shocks are fine. If it keeps bouncing, the shocks are bad. Inbetween is a judgement call.
