1990 Acura Integra with Emission Problems
I have a 1990 acura integra with 200K miles. I live in Texas and this is the first year that they have started using emission testing. My car passed everything except on the low rpm test. It was only off by 1 number on one part and about 5 numbers on the other - so it almost passed. The car has been well maintained and drives great. We are planning to do the following even though its not time: change the air and fuel filter, change the pvc valve, and do a tune up. We were also planning to use the some of the gas/engine cleaner that comes the red bottle.
Does anyone have any other recommendations or suggestions?
Thanks.

haha, i would suggest starting it off with clean oil, air, spark plugs then going to one of those "pass or free retest" smog places...i donno if u got those in texas...but here in CA, we do, lots of em. Even if you just started w/ emissions...im sure ur laws are better than ours so be happy and 200k is a lot of mileage for a car, so a full tuneup could be in order anyway
