i have a 98 integra ls it doesnt have lever for the hatch my 94 and 95 had one . i always hafta use my key everytime i open the hatch . just wondering why they did that

 

my 2000 has/had a latch to open the door.

i know they switched to a electronic system vs the old mechanical one... but i'm not sure how theold mechanical system worked (was it a latch inside the car that popped the hatch?)
all i know is the hatch on my 200 was controled by the power locks (they had to be unlocked) and then you had to slide the latch which is in the handle to the hatch) to the left and then let it click back to the right when you were done otherwise it wouldnt shut right.

 

i have a 97 and i would love a handle in the back....it has a space to put ur hand to lift it after you've unlocked it...but other than that nothing, wish i had one hehe
