what about ngk wires? they seem to be like $50+ a set... seems damn expensive to me for just wires. Is there an equal alternative?`

ngk wires you can get at worldwide for $40+. That going to be the going for price for wires if you want ngk. Personally i have the cash so i figure i want to do it right, but if budget's your concern.

Autozone has a durlast brand around $20-25 Lifetime warrenty.

and Bosch wires for $35-45 also lifetime warrenty.

unless your running some sort of agressive set-up, an msd application is overkill and you don't need it. Those wires i mentioned above will work fine, their lifetime so you can swap whenever. As far as power/ reliability ? They will work fine. i've never had any complants about either set.
