help with my car

i just got a 91 ls and i got it really cheap, but the engine is a b18a1 but its not pulling like a b18 i think a d15 has more power than this 1 can any1 tell me how to check the psi or any ideas tanx

how many miles are on the motor? Do a compression test and see if the motor is any good.

how do i check the copression the engine has 170k miles also how do i reset the ecu
