is my 2"drop mistake?
I recently found a set of tein 2" lowering springs on sale so I installed them. Right away I noticed that my camber was messed up! I am very smart! after a few days of smoth easy ride I installed a set of kyb shocks in the front (the gsomthing 2's) to save my glass from bursting. This is done with 205 40's on my car. I need help there is no scene here, just me and a lot of mustangs and I need to fix my shit before i add massive power to the engine. I really appreciate taking corners at 50+ but my camber remains messed up and now I have a symphony of noises from the driver drive wheel shock tower and wobbles from the driveshaft(at very slow it shakes the whole car, at very fast it shakes the steering wheel) WHAT HAVE I DONE TO MY BABY?
okay... you definantly going to need to get a camber kit (the're just adjustable ball joints). Then get that thing aligned. you probably getting alot of camber and your inner part of your tire will experience premature wear.
you only bought kybs for your front shocks? so your running stock shocks in the rear with a 2' drop?

so many people have just said just to get an alignment, My cambet is off .9 an the front and 1.5 at rear is it safe to assume there is no way to "tweak" this much out of a stock non adjustable setup?
i dont understand, i dropped my car 2" mabye more and my camber is fine. i have 17s on 45s. if my camber is fine but everyone else is broken whats that mean. To anser your question: camber kit if your camber is off. skunk2 makes a good one but there $. after they are installed gt it aligned! dont do what i did and cheap out on the suspension. not worth it and youll be paying MORE in the end
Go with a skunk2 or omnipower camber kit, it replaces the upper control arm...much better than the cheap balljoint type kits. The toe will also be out of spec, so you'll need to get an alignment.

And frankly, 2" is a bit too much of a drop for the GR-2 shocks.
I'd look into a set of KYB AGXs or Koni Yellows.. both of these have the damping firmness & stroke length to match the Tein springs.

you guys kick ass, but the yoda who sold me the g2's does not. I guess the kyb's were cheap enough to replace but i'll have to find a use for two more perfectly fine auto parts other then in my car. I will install camber kits this weekend even though the snow is coming tommorow.
......thanks again

its actually toe that messes with the insides of your tire more than anything. if you have bad toe, the inside of the tire scrubs the road instead of rolls on it. i got the omni power camber kit for my teg and i love it, all i did for the rear is put some washers between the bolts that bolt the upper control arm to the body(the washers are on the side where the body is).
