Default stock shifter

Can anyone tell me whether or not this is the stock shifter knob for the gsr and if the boot is supposed to be separated from the shifter knob? Thanks.

Looks stock to me. Unless I felt the throw of the shifter, it is hard to tell.

The boot is old, so it will separate. If you pick up a new boot, it should stay snug against the stock shifter.

Ok, thanks Schmoo...The main reason I ask is because my buddy had a short throw-shifter in his gsr, but with what I think was the stock shift knob. It felt a lot heaver and stubbier than mine though (the one pictured).
