So I've determined the issue is inside the trans.

yep. inside the trans. something in there was eating away at the housing. it's funny because the thing shifted fine, never hesitated after a quick stop.. never gave me a single problem.

so i have no choice but to put another LS trans on my GSR motor because the price difference between the two is 600 vs 1800 (so says my trans guy).

rough.

Shop around on your own. Never trust the prices a mechanic gives you for parts.

My LS does the same thing i think. When turning from a stop (when wet) it feels like one wheel spins for a sec before gripping. My car has been checked out and found nothing wrong:hsdunno:

thats becasue you don't have an LSD.

the inside tire is turning a smaller circle than the outside tire.. and since both tires have to spin at the same speed the inside tire is spinning much faster than it needs to be to complete the circle, and therefor loses grip and spins.

yeah i know, but i don't consider it a problem. I learned how to change the way I take off and keep it from happening.
