Default EMS systems

Hondata Vs the Aem EMS.....im driving a 95 LS with a B18C swap...she is all motor and needs to be tuned. There is HP to be found in tuning and i need to know which is the better system. Im specifically interested in the hondata s200, i dont know much bout the AEM..Help.

What mods do you have that require a standalone engine management unit. Mild buildups can be tuned just fine with a much cheaper VAFC unit.

agreed, i had a VAFC in my car, and it worked great, i had different cams, intake mainfold, headers etc, however now that i am turbo i am running an obd1 p72 tunned with crome pro, either way u don't have anythign that warrents such a drastic fuel management system like the EMS

I agree as well. Hondata would suit you better than the AEM though..the AEM is overkill for you. So, what have you done internall to the motor that requires tuning?

You don't need any of that.

S100 or VAFC/SAFC.

Well for starters my integra is a B18C with skunk 2 cams, skunk2 cam gears, skunk 2 complete valvetrain (titanium retainers, forged valves, and dual valve springs). Type R high compression head gasket, AEM cold air intake, jdm type r exhaust manifold , and skunk2 exhaust system. Im not sure if i heard wrong but cams are supposed to be set at certain degrees right? I think i over heard that without being tuned they have to be set at o degrees. So does my current set up require the EMS yet or not. How do i set my cams with a v-afc? Thanks

Take it to a tuner shop with a dyno and have them tune the VAFC. You don't need much more tuning for your current setup.
